Kjerstin is FIVE!

I can't believe this little lady is five already! It's already been a year since we had her four-year session and she has continued to amaze me with her witty personality and sweet personality. We had a great afternoon in Odaiba and, as always, her family was SO much fun to be around!

Thank you so much, Tami and Eric for inviting me to spend another afternoon with your lovely family. I had a wonderful time (as usual) and am amazed at what a beautiful young lady Kjerstin is! I hope you love your pictures and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

xoxo,
Julie

That Bond...

That bond between a daddy and his daughter. You can't "pose" photos like this. LOVE my job.

Family Day with Sunflowers!

I have had such wonderful experiences meeting new families and photographing them in lovely places here in Japan. This particular session has to be one of my favorites though as I have been wanting to see the sunflowers since I first moved to Japan. The day was perfect and so was this family, sweet as can be. Enjoy the photos!

Sibling Time at the Park

I used to teach Aaron. I remember his little brother, Joejoe when he was small enough to lift with one arm. And I remember Sarah when she was in her mommy's tummy. I was thrilled when their mom asked if I would go with them to the park for a session to celebrate Aaron and Joejoe's birthdays. We had a great time and I enjoyed seeing how much they've grown and how mature they already are.

Mari, thank you for inviting me with your children for a wonderful afternoon. I hope you like your pictures! :)

Sunflowers!

Had the pleasure of meeting with a beautiful family who really wanted to visit a sunflower field. Awesome decision! Here's a peek from today.

Summer Memories

I've known Robin and Ryan since we met in college. These two were always so awesome, so sweet, so fun! Now they have a little family and are as sweet and adorable as ever.

When I was going through their photos, deciding which ones were "keepers" I kept smiling and I don't know why.

Maybe it was how happy their little guy was when he saw or touched any type of ball (he's an athlete in training if you didn't already know!).

Maybe it was the way they all just naturally hung out in their backyard on that warm afternoon, hanging out, enjoying each other's company.

I mostly think I was smiling so much because of their contagious smiles!

Oh, this makes my heart want to explode from happiness:

All these years together (and many more to come) and still so in love...

Robin and Ryan, thank you for allowing me to visit with my camera and follwo you around for an afternoon. It was my pleasure taking pictures and I still am amazed at how you two haven't aged at all since college! I reeeeally hope we all get a chance to try some of those awesome sushi spots my next visit back!

Big hugs,

juldog

One more photo...cause he's SO darn cute.

Time Flies!

There are many pros and cons to living abroad. Definitely one of the most interesting things is how quickly babies seem to grow while I'm away. I photographed Veronica's maternity session, then a year later her newborn session for Daniela. This time it was her one year session. I can't believe how much she's grown and how smart she is. Her mommy and daddy were as relaxed as ever on this warm afternoon...

FACT: This girl has already got her daddy wrapped around her little finger ;)

One last family shot...

Veronica, Chris and Daniela: Thank you again for a lovely afternoon of playing tea, showing me around the historic and iconic parts of SD and for allowing me to photograph such special times in your lives. I always look forward to seeing you all and hope to see you on my next visit!!!

xoxo,
Julie
