Just Because

So it's been a while since I've added anything to this blog, but it's all for good reason. I've been dedicating a lot of time online researching the next lens I plan on investing in. And when I say investing, I'm not kidding around. These lenses are super-duper expensive and you really have to know what you are getting yourself into before you fork out 500 to $1,000+ on them!

But I have been taking pictures when there's been time. So, here are some that I have been using my camera to experiment with. Nothing special, just because.

Tochigi (where I live) is famous for its summertime dragonflies. These interesting creatures are everywhere and love to chill on high objects like car antennas, gates, poles, etc. I've never seen one upclose...that is, until I had my camera!

This little gem is about ten minutes from my house. A lot of locals who have grown up in this city don't even know that it exists. It's very hidden in a residential neighborhood and I love that I know where it is and locals don't. It's a wonderful place to take pictures.

By the way, I've finally recruited some victims who have agreed to be the subjects of my next photoshoot. I love taking pictures of random things around my house, but my true interest is in people. You know, because they can smile, and pose differently, and will be honest about what they think. So I am hoping to finally muster up the courage and ask more people. I wish I was in Los Angeles sometimes. It would be so much easier to find people who love being in front of a camera!

I like the first phot of a dragonfly. It seems to fly out of picture and stare at me. junko
