A day at the park

I'm so excited to blog this session for a few of reasons.

-First, it's a family of four--something I've never gotten to shoot before.

-Second, I've known the mommy and daddy since high school. And they look like they haven't aged since then...totally not fair! ;)

-Third, they are just a beautiful family. And I was just so dang happy they asked me to be their photographer!

FACT: Getting all four people to look at the camera at the same time is a difficult feat. It must've taken me 10 shots til I got this one...

I love that Claudia (the pretty mom) brought pinwheels. They were a success!

Love these next two shots:

Claudia and Adam, thank you so much for a fun day at the park. I had a great time getting to know your adorable kids, and especially enjoyed chasing squirrels and avoiding snakes with them! Can't wait for you to see the rest of your photos!

Just wanted to say congratulations to my friends (and past clients) Ashley and Scott on their new baby! I have yet to see pictures of her but am imagining she is beautiful like her parents.

During the shoot, we took some extra photos that I couldn't post because they wanted to keep the sex of the baby a secret. It was hard, but I kept my promise and didn't tell anyone. But now, I can finally show the last few pictures, which I loved.

Baby is going to have lots of shoes:

This last one is my absolute FAVE of Ashely. She looks gorgeous and truly happy and it sums up the two (now three) of them perectly.

Omedetou Ashley and Scott! Can't wait to meet her.

Garcia Family Preview

I must say, I am really enjoying LA. I have spent time with my family, caught up with a few friends, and am getting to spend heaps of time with my pets :) Yesterday, I met up with some long time friends for a family photo shoot. Here's a glimpse of some of the fun we had...

...lots more of them on the blog soon :)

Just saw some photos that my friend Fie posted a link to on Facebook that really put things in perspective.

Everyday, people (myself included) complain about sitting in traffic, the restaurant not getting their order right, bed being too lumpy, the AC not kicking in right away, etc. etc. etc....

(photos from James Mollison’s book Where Children Sleep)

Check out these images. They will make you appreciate your afternoon tea, sofa, access to technology, and fridge full of food much more today.
