Alex and Phil: They're having a baby!

This is Phil.

Phil is married to this sweet gal, Alejandra.

They are going to have a baby soon.

I met Alex last season through a mutual friend and thought she was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Since then, our husbands have gotten to be on the same team and we have gotten to know each other more. They are expecting their first child soon and I was so flattered and honored that they asked me to take their pictures before Alex left to go home and prepare for their son's arrival.

Here are some of the sweet photos:

As you can probably guess from viewing other maternity sessions, I love including photos of the tiny shoes. There's something so funny to me that, in the very new future, a new little person is going to be hanging out in shoes this tiny!

I'll end this post with this picture. It embodies Phil and Alex perfectly. They are sweet together and always making each other laugh.

Phil and Alex, thank you so much for allowing me to take these pictures of you. Abe, Miso and I had so much fun spending the day with you exploring the pretty park and driving around the city. You're going to be such fun, loving parents, and I'm so happy we ended up together on the same team!

xoxo,
Julie

Keeping things organized

So I've been getting more photography inquiries and have decided that, although I love doing the photo-a-day challenge, I am going to move those photos to a separate blog and try to keep this blog more as a personal and photography session blog.

If you are still interested in looking at my daily photos taken on my Iphone, please go here:

Otherwise, this blog will be more photographs of happy people and random happenings during my time in Japan.

Abe's attempt at drawing Kanye West during a game of Draw Something.

365 | Day 69

Shibuya Crossing: One of the busiest intersections in the world. And one of my most favorite photos I've ever taken in Tokyo (taken last night on my iPhone).

365 | Day 68

Today was a rainy day in the classroom. Nothing like a game of Chutes and Ladders to spark some childhood nostalgia.

365 | Day 63

My favorite snack during spring. It's for Hinamatsuri which means doll festival. These are sweet rice covered in sugar. They taste kinda like cereal but better!

365 | Day 62

Still giddy from the awesome snowfall. It actually reminded me of living in Tochigi. It made Miso happy too.

365 | Day 61

More gorgeous Tokyo snow.
